Some of these are tree plantation, environment protection, drug abuse & HIV AIDS prevention ‘campaign, health, personality development and awareness programs for reducing young and old age generation gap. We have established an Onganic & Natural Agriculture Devel- ‘opment Centre to improve health status of the people and setup herbal botanical gardens. We organized workshops and seminars for eradication of social evils like dowry, female fide and gender inequliy: We alo ornized cash prize dsribton functions forrcov- ‘ered drug addicts and continue providing occupational counseling services in Juvenile Ob- servation Home, Faridkot (Pb). INTRODUCTION ‘Youth Affairs Organisation was established in March 2003. In this shor period “The Organization’ has achieved many distinctions. Ithas made outstanding achievements in sifferent fields related tothe welfare of children, women and youth ofthe nation. Some of ‘our great achievements re; starting frst time District level (1100 Rs) and State level (1,000 Rs) cash prize awards for recovered clients in de-addcton fed, starting first time celebrating Moral Duty Dy on Ist January every year. Weare continuously providing weekly counseling services since 23 March 2007 for erm fe healthy re-scializaton of children in Juvenile Observation Home at Ferdkot, Punjab. Duy Day at ier Laat Pel an aan Joma BLOOD DONATION CAMP. 9 Generally villagers are afraid of donating blood due to ignorance and illiteracy To help the villagers overcome tis fear we organized blood donation camp at VPO Battan-Khheri Haryana on the occasion of ‘International Women’s Day’ i.e. 8° March 2009. Twenty seven units of blood were donatedon this occasion, Not only male but female members of society also donated their blood. Resource persons & member from Dist. CELEBRATION OF HINDI DAY ‘=F (n 28* September 2009 “The Organisation’ celebrated ‘Hindi Day” in the premises of Red Cross De-addiction cum Rehabilitation Centre Faridkot. Importance of national lan- ‘guage was the theme ofthis program. Emphasis was laid upon the need to use ‘our national language in daily routine activities because it isa via-media among most of Indian languages. Resource persons from Distt. Red Cross Society, Dera Bhai Bhagtu Charitable Trust, Lions Club & Seva Bhar also participated inthis program. COUNSELING SERVICES IN OBSERVATION HOME, FARIDKOT ‘=F YAO started providing counseling services in Juvenile Observation Home Faridkot of 25+’March 2007. The objective ofthese counseling services isbeallhy e-sexialization of these children. We provide individual counseling, group counseling, behavior change, HIV- AIDS awareness, drug abuse prevention, vocational taining, ife-skil, pre marital counsel- ing, family counseling and rehabilitation. Apart fom this we also organize diferent creative activities, games and competiuons of poety, songs, quiz painting etc among the children timetotime, ‘Youth firs Oganisation celebrated Baba Sheikh Farid Aggman Purb among the | children of Juvenile Observation Home Faridkot on 20* September 2008. On this occa- }| sion Art competitions among children of observation home were also organized. = On 14" November 2008 Youth Airs Organisation celebrated "Children’s Day’ among children of Juvenile Observation Home, Faidkot. On this occasion speech, paint- ing, poetry & quiz competitions were organized. All the children of observation ome par- ‘icipated inthis program. Trophies & consolation prizes were awarded to the participants. Youth AMars Organisation organized vocational training program among children of Juvenile Observation Home, Faridkot. The objective of this training program was to de- ‘velop ther vocational sil for generating self employment resources.
