Abstract

The presented project is about the designing of the department of architecture in Payam-e-noor
university of Gonbad.This topic is chosen because of the importance of creation of educational spaces
especially in higher education in current situation in our country and also the importance oh having
educational experiences in department of architecture. Having this goal and based on logical process, I
started to get information and work on them. The study was done by interviewing student of
architecture and working on available books about the mentioned topic. Because of different spaces of
architecture department comparing to other departments, it was tried to create a space in accordance
with student’ mood. Creation various spaces and change of surfaces, give appropriate views to the
landscape around it.

Generally, the principles which are considered in this department are explained below:

-Consideration of existing standards of the field and improvement of spaces as much as possible.

-Optimum use of light and taking efforts in making lively and active environment.

-Consideration of spaces hierarchy.

-Considering esthetic principles in architecture design.

-Consideration of climatic principles.

-Separation of practical area considering the characteristics of each space.

-Making some spaces for gathering

-Making half open spaces in order to make difference.

-To begin designing and presenting the primary concepts, first some researches were done about the
location of building in the site. Then using the projects about case studies and the division from the
practical point of view and relationship between different part of department…were observed, positive
points are applied in designing in this department.

It is tried to make various and different spaces such as central yard in this concept, making central
campus and making height changes in internal spaces in this plan would make interesting area for
students.
