Awarded the General Motors “Supplier of the Year” Award for five consecutive years 1996, 1997,
1998, 1999 and 2000. The only Indian company to get this award.

Vendor Performance Award given by Maruti Udyog Ltd. in 1996-97, 1994-95 and 1993-94 to SFL.

MICO Quality Award given to SFL in 1981-82 and 1983-84.

Government

Our factory in China won the " Best Labour Relations Award" from the Haiyan Govt.

Good Industrial Relations Award to SFL by the Government of Tamil Nadu for 1986 and 1996.

Productivity Award given by National Productivity Council for 1986-87.

Productivity Award from the State Government in 1985-86 and 1986-87.

Award for export performance from the Engineering Export Promotion Council for fourteen years in
succession.

Public Acclamations/Reception

Mr Suresh Krishna was awarded the “Padma Shri” by the Government of India in 2006.

Mr Suresh Krishna was appointed the Sheriff of Madras by the Government of Tamil Nadu for 1994
and 1995.

Rotary Club of Madras South gave the “For the Sake of Honour” Award to Mr Suresh Krishna in
1992.

Mr Suresh Krishna was elected President of CII (then Confederation of Engineering Industry) for
1987-88.

Mr Suresh Krishna was elected President of ACMA for the years 1982-84.
