‘THIS TRANSITION DIET IS RECOMMENDED FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE READY TO MAKE THE STEP
‘TOWARDS IMPROVING THEIR HEALTH. IF YOU HAVE BEEN EATING THE STANDARD AMERICAN
DIET (SAD), EATING A HIGH PERCENTAGE OF JUNK FOOD, OR JUST WANT TO MAKE IMPROVE-
MENTS FROM WHERE YOU ARE, ELIMINATE THE FOODS ON THE LEFT AND REPLACE THEM WITH
FOODS ON THE RIGHT. (A) WOULD BE THE FIRST STEP CHANGE. (B) WOULD BE THE NEXT
STEP CHANGE.
ELIMINATE:
White flour and anything that
contains white flour.
Sugar—all white, brown, raw
or turbinado sugars, all
artificial sweeteners
All coffee and caffeine teas.

Beef and pork in any form
Pasteurized/homogenized dairy

(A) Whole wheat and other whole grain flours such as rye, oat, rice, barley.
