Abstract

In this study the relations between person’s self esteem and learning structure was explored.
The study was conducted on 65 higher secondary school students of two different schools in
Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. Students from common age groups and class were selected as part
of sample and study. A person’s self esteem the outcome of learning pattern adopted by them.
During our study we found that self confidence is integral part of self esteem. Students with
higher self esteem are likely to be more assertive and have greater distinction in the class of
students of same age group. The self esteem , however, was not a function of learning pattern
and as reflected by our analysis. As an outcome of this study we believe that there is need to
evaluate students self esteem and confidence level on the basis of learning patter or style.
