I find the “my tragedy was worse than your tragedy” arguments to be most unsavoury. The 20th century saw Europe masticate itself. The Holocaust differed from other genocides in that Europe murdered most of its Jews. Europe slaughtered one out of every three Jews in the entire world. This is a magnitude unheard of, and one from which the Jewish population has yet to recover.
