Power supply unit fh, Blender jug with lid Important information concerning the use a WARNING ‘When chidren become old enough to use the appliance, itis the legal responsibilty of the parents or legal guardian to ensure that they are instructed in its safe operation by quaitied persons. ‘Avoid risk of electric shock! Power supply unit must ft into the socket. The power supply unit must ‘not be altered in any way. Do not use adapter plugs. Connect and operate the appliance only in accordance with the specifications on the rating plate of the power supply unit. ‘Only use indoors, Protect charging station/ power supply unit from. moisture and dirt Bofore use, always check the charging station/power supply unit and ‘cable for damage. Any repairs or replacements may be carried out by our customer service only. Batteries may be replaced by our customer service only. Keep children away from the appliance. Disconnect the power supply unit from the mains before cleaning and assembling the appliance, if fault occurs or if the appliance is not used fora prolonged period. Charge the base unit in the supplied charging station and with the associated power supply unit only. Do not cover the power supply unit. Remove highly combustible objects. Avoid risk of injury! Do not use the blender with damp hands and do not operate it at no load. Operate the hand blender with original accessories only. Caution when processing hot liquids. Liquids may splash during processing. If the appliance is used incorrectly, quid may leak out of the battery in the base unit. Avoid touching the liquid, Do not immerse the appliance in liquid above the blender foot-base unit connection point Avoid risk of injury from sharp blade/ rotating drive! Never tip the blade on the blender foot Never clean the blender blade with bare hands. Use a brush. Safety devices Start lock-out Overload protection Prevents the appliance from being switched on unintentionally, To switch on 1. first press and hold down the safety button, 2. then press the On button. While operating the appliance, you can release the safety button. Ifthe motor switches itself off while the appliance is being used, the overload protection feature has been, activated. Possible causes: Q the food has jammed the blender blade, Q too much pressure exerted on the food during the cutting process. Eliminate the cause and switch on the appliance again Before using the blender for the first time Important Note Before using the appliance for the first time, fully charge the base unit (approx. 2 hours). ‘The base unit may become warm during the charging process. Do not use any other charger. The Liion battery is protected against total discharge. Ifthe appliance is switched on with a discharged battery, the appliance is switched off by a protective circuit. Pull the installation plate down and out of the charging station and attach to the wall with 2 sorews. 2. Insert the charging station from above onto the inotallation plato. The battery is automatically tested. ‘The battery charge status is displayed by the LED. “Battery full LED goes out after approx, 10 seconds. Battery empty _ LED comes on and goes out at the end of the charging process. While the appliance is being used, the battery charge status is displayed by the LED. When the appliance is not being used, the battery charge status can be displayed by pressing the safety button. Battery full LEDs it. Battery half full LED flashes slowly. Battery almost empty _LED flashes quickly. Attention! Stop using the appliance if the battery is almost ‘empty. Insert the base unt into the charging station and fully charge the battery. How to use the blender Blender foot Do not attach or remove the blender foot until the appliance is at a standstil. For blending mayonnaise, sauces, drinks, baby food and for cutting onions, ice, cooked fruit and vegetables. Note: The hand blender is not suitable for preparing mashed potatoes. ale ty 1, Place the blender foot on the base unit and rotate in an anti-clockwise direction. . Put the food in the blender jug. . Firmly hold the hand blender and jug. To prevent the food from splashing, do not switch the appliance on or off until the blender foot has been inserted into the food. ep Important Note Stop using the appliance if the battery is almost empty. Insert the base unit into the charging station and fully charge the battery. ‘After using the appliance, always recharge in the charging station. How to clean the blender CAUTION Never immerse the base unit in water and do not clean in the dishwasher. Do not use a steam cleaner! 1. Remove the blender foot from the base unit.
