~~ atte By Tim Dally, Lead Pastor Seek God Share God! (Our Vision as stated should unite us, define us, direct our activities, prayers, hopes and dreams. As we find ourselves, together asa church body, in the place of "seeking" and "sharing," itis a Vision that needs tobe lived. So you will see some new words around, LIVETHEVISION, just as a reminder for this year What itis all about ‘Together we live this Vision, and we have strategies this year to reflect its intentions. When we live out “the mission of God” as.a church, we ae trying to make things happen to make God's will come true in langible ways is always good lo remeber iy His crcl Chest i the heal ~s0 we follow him and try to stay in step with His Spirit as a community of believers. For 2011 the Visior is going to lean toward the “outward focused” component ofthe Vision constantly ‘reminding us about “sharing God.” ‘We have recently been praying and talking about what kind of “disciple” we trying to create here at Pasadena Covenant Church. It probably makes sense that this would began to determine what we do and nat we don't do. We reached into the history of the Evangelical Covenant Church and are afirming four aspects" ofa disciple we ae trying to create: 1. A Biblical Disciple~ knowing about God and his truth 2. A Devotional Disciple - experiencing God in personal way 3. A Missienal Disciple - engaging in compassion and evangelism 4. A Connectional Disciple ~ committed to fellowship and ministry So the things we do and plan around here will follow the Vision, and the plans that are made willbe with the goal of creating a"disciple” with these four aspects of experience.
