kerja sepasukan amat pen ng bagi 
menaikkan moral atlet SSIL. 
Akhirnya, dengan semangat 
kesukanan dan sepasukan yang ada, 
SSIL telah menjuarai KOKAL 2011 
buat kali pertamanya. Kon jen dari 
SSIL telah memenangi Sembilan 
pingat emas! Tahniah diucapkan!!

SUKUM 2011 
Kejohanan  Olahraga  Antara  Sekolah  UMS 
2011  telah  dilangsungkan  di  Komplek 
Sukan  UMS.  SSIL  telah  menghantar 
kon njen  ke  kejohanan  tersebut.  Disini, 
perancangan  awal  diperlukan.  Persiapan 
kon njen SSIL dalam kejohanan ini bbukan 
kepada  pingat  acara  sahaja  ,  tetapi  juga 
pada  perbarisan  kon njen  terbaik  pada 
Malam  Pembukaan.  SSIL  akhirnya  telah 
dinobatkan  tempat  ke  3.  Tahniah!  Bagi 
pemilihan  atlet  pula,  atlet  yang  dipilih 
adalah  berdasarkan  pencapaian  mereka  di 
KOKAL 2011. Atlet‐atlet ini disusun semula 
acara  mereka  bagi  meraih  pingat  yang 
lebih banyak. Semangat dan kerja pasukan 
mereka  pada  tahap  yang  maksimum. 
Kekurangan  atlet  yang  berkuali   nggi 
serba  sedikit  mempengaruhi  keadaan 
kon njen  SSIL.  Atlet  terpaksa  mengambil 
acara  yang  banyak  dan  perkara  ini 
mengundang  sedikit  masalah.  Dimana, 
atlet  terpaksa  bertarung  tenaga  dan 
memerah  kudrat  kerana  waktu  kejohanan 
yang  padat.  Walaubagaimanapun,  atlet‐
atlet  SSIL  tetap  bersemangat  dan  member 
segala  sokongan  yang  padu  terhadap 
semua atlet SSIL yang lain. Tahniah kepada 
semua atlet SSIL.

Debate by Debra Moh 
Who  would  have  ever  thought  that 
UMSKAL  would  be  compe ng  in  a  human 
rights  debate  organized  by  Malaysia's  Bar 
Council?  However,  that  was  exactly  what 
happened  to  two  of  our  very  own  SSIL‐
ians,  Debra  Moh  (E‐Commerce  first  year) 
and  Said  Elia  Hashim  (Mul media  second 
year).    Held  in  KDU,  Selangor  they 
competed  against  teams  from  Malaysia, 
Singapore  and  Bangladesh.  Not  stopping 
there, it was soon followed up by the Royal 
Malaysian  Intervarsity  Deba ng 
Championship  in  UTHM  Johor,  one  of  the 
most  pres gious  deba ng  events  in 
Malaysia.    Most  recent,  their  immense 
impact  was  felt  at  Na onal  Novice 
Deba ng  Championship  in  UiTM  Shah 
Alam where there were 100 teams from all 
over  the  country.  Anyone  who  studies  in 
UMSKAL knows that opportuni es are hard 
to  come  by,  but  that  does  not  make  it 
impossible.  

Debate Malay style by Zila 
My name is Norzila bin  Mohd Fawzi .I am one of the Debater for 
Malay Division in UMSKAL since 2010  ll now. The tournament that I 
enter last year was the Vice Chancellor’s Debate Cup 2010, 
Intervarsity Debate 2010, Royal Debate 2010 and League Debate 
2010. The achievement in the Vice Chancellor’s Debate Cup 2010, I 
was named as overall best speaker among others and the champion 
for that tournament. In the Intervarsity Debate 2010, I was the 
second runner up and nominated as the third in ranking best speaker. 
For the Royal Debate 2010 I was also nominated as the Best Speaker 
for Preliminary Round.Recent debate was the League Debate 2011; 
achievement was champion for the tournament and  tle as the

My name is Tang Woon Chee, from SSIL, taking multimedia technology

course. A lot of my friend thinks that I am very good in programming,
because I always can score well in the programming courses. Well, actually I
am not that good in programming also, just maybe a little bit better than
other student. Why I can get a good result for programming? Personally, I
think that is because I interest in it, where I am very enjoying on coding, and
I will always try to coding by myself without copy from other. The other
reason that makes me score well is my coursemate. Because some of them
think that I am good in programming, so they always ask me question about
programming and ask me to teach them, so, indirectly, they forces my
programming results to be better.

• Kelab ini dapat melahirkan mahasiswa
yang berkebolehan bukan sahaja dalam

bidang juga.
• Tambahan pula, ahli kelab ini akan
dapat menambah pengalaman mereka
dalam bidang multimedia dan memberi
peluang kepada mahasiswa untuk
mengembangkan lagi bakat mereka
dalam bidang ini.
• Di sini secara tidak langsung,
mencetus semangat 1 Malaysia ini
dalam diri ahli kelab itu sendiri
disamping membina semangat 1
Malaysia bersama-sama kerana kelab
ini mengundang semua mahasiwa tidak

menajamkan lagi kemahiran mereka
