3. Safety needs is one of the theory of Maslow`s Hierachy theory of (4)


human needs. Describe on how the organization should motivate
their employees on safety needs.

Keperluan keselamatan adalah satu dari pada teori Maslow’s Hierachy of


Human Needs. Terangkan bagaimana organisasi perlu menggalakkan

advantages and disadvantages of this theory in relation to nursing

2. Change Process is usually planned to improve efficiency of an


organization. From your assessment you found that infection rate in
your ward has increased.
i. As an Infection Control Nurse how would you plan to
reduce the infection. (6)

During your implementation you realized that your staff were


reluctant to participate.
ii. Discuss on which approach you want to implement to
overcome the problem (10)
iii. How would you evaluate the effectiveness of change has

3. Quality management in healthcare focuses on the customer instead


of the provider, prevention instead of inspection and the process
instead of the person.
i. Discuss the differences between Quality Assurance (QA)
and Quality Improvement (QI). (10)

You are the change agent of the unit. You try to implement new
approach on nursing care and maintain the quality of care.
ii. Choose one issue in your clinical area and relate with your
Quality Improvement (QI) process. (10)

4. You are a Nurse Manager of a new unit for stroke patients which
consists of ten patients.
i) What would you consider in planning for staffing for this
unit? (10)
ii) Based on the above scenario choose the most appropriate
model of delivery care system and explain what are the
advantages and disadvantages of the model in relation to
the scenario (10)

stroke yang mempunyai seramai 10 orang

di dalam sistem penjagaan dan terangkan apakah kebaikan

5. During the course of radiotherapy, Puan Aminah sustains third


degree radiation burn to her lower abdomen. Her wounds are
extensive and deep requiring frequent wound irrigation. Despite
being given pain relief before each procedure, Puan Aminah
complained that the procedure is the very painful. She requested
for treatment to be discontinued.
i) Discuss the situation in terms of beneficence and non- (10)
maleficence.
ii) What is the nurse`s responsibility in assisting the patient to (10)
maintain autonomy?

Semasa menjalani rawatan radioterapi, Puan Aminah mengalami


kebakaran radiasi peringkat ketiga di bahagian bawah abdomen. Luka
beliau didapati besar dalam dan memerlukan wound irigation yang
kerap. Walaupun diberi ubat penahan sakit setiap kali sebelum prosedur,
Puan Aminah mengadu mengalami sakit yang teruk semasa rawatan.
Beliau meminta supaya rawatan tersebut diberhentikan.
i) Bincangkan situasi tersebut dari segi “beneficence” dan “non-
maleficience”
ii) Apakah tanggungjawab jururawat dalam membantu pesakit
mengekalkan autonomi?
