Motivation
Motivation is the driving force which help causes us to achieve goals. Motivation
is said to be intrinsic or extrinsic. The term is generally used for human it may be male or
female
Intrinsic Motivation
Extrinsic Motivation
Comes into play when a student is compelled to do something or act a certain way
because of factors external to him or her (like money or good grades).
Dimensions of Motivation
There are three major components to motivation: activation, persistence and intensity.

Persistence
It is the continued effort toward a goal even though obstacles may exist, such as taking more
psychology courses in order to earn a degree although it requires a significant investment of
time, energy and resources.
