Dear Ms Watts,

The 15 power words are important and they all have different meanings. The
power words will help you on the CRCT .The 15 power words are Analyze,
Summarize, Trace, Evaluate, Infer, Describe/Visualize, Predict, Explain/Support,
Compare /Contrast, Advise/Elaborate, and the last word is Formulate.

Analyze is to break it down and we did the story and the outline to analyze the
book. Trace is to list the steps and we did the timeline video. Summarize is to tell in a
short version and we did the story using outline .Evaluate is to judge and the lesson
we did was the book review .Infer is to read between the lines and the lesson we did
was the comic strip .Describe is to tell about, Visualize is a form a mental picture and
we had to create 3 graffiti pictures. Predict is what will happen next, guess and we did
the anticipation guide. Compare and contrast is to tell how they are the same and
how they are different and we did the map comparing two letters. Advise is to
recommend and Elaborate is to tell more about and we had to write a do’s and don’ts
letter. Formulate we had to complete the entire website.

These words will help you on the CRCT in certain subjects like reading and language
arts.
