 A) Com Tradução no PASSADO:


a) Com JUST
 He has just gone out.
b) Com EVER / ALREADY / NEVER
Have you ever been to the Northeast?
Yes, I have already been there.
No, I’ve never been there.

 c) Com YET / ALREADY
Have we finished the exercises yet?
No, we haven’t finished them yet.
Yes, we’ve already finished them.

* Ações no passado SEM um tempo


indicado; não se sabe quando a ação
ocorreu.

 B) Com Tradução no PRESENTE:
 a) Com HOW LONG / SINCE / FOR
How long have you taught English?
I have taught English since 1978.
I’ve taught English for 30 years.

* Ações que começaram no Passado mas


que continuam no tempo Presente.
OBSERVAÇÃO
 Quando o Present Perfect é traduzido no
PRESENTE ele pode ser substituído pelo
PRESENT PERFECT CONTINUOUS;
 To Have + BEEN + Gerund.

* Ex:Henry has been working a lot lately


* I’ve been teaching English for 30 years
2 – PAST PERFECT

 Formação:
HAD + PAST PARTICIPLE
Ex: When the alarm-clock rang I had
already woken up.

Duas ações ocorrem no passado, uma


após a outra; a que ocorreu primeiro fica
no Past Perfect; a outra no Simple Past
