Department Profile

The University of Southern California (USC) is the largest private employer in Los Angeles. Employee
Recruitment Services (ERS) is a department within USC’s Career & Protective Services and manages the
USC job board which maintains approximately 350 job vacancies at a time. ERSPage helps3the university’s
500 departments with their hiring needs through sourcing and recruiting quality candidates for available
positions.

Internship Description

Recruiting interns are trained in the functionalities of a recruitment office: job application reviews (job-fit Training Program
analysis: resume & cover letter), creating job announcements, navigating the applicant tracking system, Timeline
sourcing and recruiting candidates (Monster.com, CareerBuilder, LinkedIn, resume database, internet
boolean searches) conducting phone screens, social media recruitment (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, May Overview of applicant
Google Buzz), providing quality customer services to various clients (Hiring managers and job-seekers). tracking system,

Qualifications process
Business Administration students with interest in human resources, staffing, recruiting; June Conduct application
