Challenged Based Learning Globalization Project

For the math portion of your CBL project, you will have several requirements. You will have individual components that
you must turn in on given deadlines as well as a group component that you will present at the end of the quarter. This
project will be counted as an assessment grade for 4 th quarter.

***All assignments must be approved by your teacher before submitting them for a final grade.

Individual Assignments:

*Issue at hand

- You must collect a data relating to your company or effect with at least 20 data points
- Create a poster of your data using a graphical representation of your choice by hand
- Create a computer generated version of your graph
- Complete a typed analysis your graph, providing some conclusions about your company or effect (ie “From the
graph you can see that the average child works 50+ hours a week for Nike, and according to child labor
laws……. ) The analysis must be at least a paragraph long (This paragraph must consist of no less than 7 complete
sentences)

*Solution

- Create a predicted data set for you company showing how the numbers will increase or decrease according to
your proposed solution
- Create a poster of your predicted data the same graphical representation as your first graph
- Create a computer generated version of your graph
- Complete a typed analysis of your graph (following same guidelines as above).

Group Requirements:

- Your group will present their analysis and graphical representation of your issue at hand as well as your solution.
Your group must have at least one graph and analysis of both your issue and solution. This means that each
individuals graph might not appear in your final piece, maybe only one person’s graph will be needed, or maybe
two for the issue and one for the solution. Your group will decide how much information is needed to show your
effects and solutions. Whatever you decide must be checked by your teacher before presenting your project.

It is going to be extremely important that you stay on top of your work during these last few weeks of school, as you
have a final and this project to complete. Remember that there are Wednesday tutoring sessions available for those of
you that need the extra time and help! The back side of this document has the deadlines for the rest of the quarter.
