How can art tell stories about who we are or where
we've been? Using their own lives as inspiration, kids
will create painted postcards, bring the letters in their
name to life, and create a self portrait.
Session 2: 8-11 year olds

July 17, 19,20 10am - 2pm
This session draws inspiration from portraits, stil life,
and Horouflyah in Mathaf’s collection. After seeing
how artists express one subject in many ways, kids
will experiment with different techniques to find their
own way to express what they see.
Session 3: 12-14 year olds

What makes a good artist? Why do museums make
exhibitions? These are questions that kids will
debate and respond to by creating artworks and
writings. By playing the role of an artist and critic,
teens will work together and display the results of
their explorations in a final exhibition.
