ABSTRACT

The report is divided into two sections(4 chapters); the economic section and the technical section. The economics section contains the company profile of BT. BT giving the services to the major telecommunication operator such as Digi, Maxis and Celcom via the main contractor such as Ericsson and Siae Microelectronnica (SM). The main services divided into two; which is Node B project and Traffic Node project. In the technical section, the trainee was given numbers of assignment in order to meet the clients requirement of services. The trainee had experiences in both Traffic Node and Node B projects. In Traffic Node project, the trainee had followed the team to several sites to do an installation and testing while for Node B project, the trainee had involved in preparing documentation for survey report. These include SDD (Site Design Documentation), RF report, material request and AutoCAD drawing. Involving in Node B project had made the trainee can mastering well in the use of AutoCAD which never learnt it before at the University. Besides that, since the trainee had been given the contract as staff for the period of three (3) months, he has been trained by the senior staff to do a job in the given scope. The job include installation of the indoor unit, configuring the microwave link Mini-Link TN radio and Plesiochronous Digital Hierarchy (PDH) and alignment of the antenna.
