Culture and relaxation
This is a land with 1,000 years of history
and a unique fusion of eastern and
western cultures. This is a land where the
River Danube flows through one of the
most beautiful capitals in the world. This
is land where rejuvenating thermal springs
run just below the surface. This is a land
called Hungary!

are preserved in its architecture, cafs,
cuisine and monuments a visit here
promises a truly authentic Central Eastern
European cultural experience.
The mighty Danube splits the capital in
two, separating the hills of Buda from the
flatland of Pest. The panorama here with
illuminated bridges spanning the water
and elegant historical buildings along the
bank is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The majestic Buda Castle, the impressive
Parliament building, world-famous baths

Hungary
A garden of well-being
Everyone knows the importance of
lifestyle to health and happiness. As well
as exercise and diet, natural remedies can
play a key role in recovery from illness or
in day-to-day well-being. Hungary is the
perfect destination for soothing body and
soul. It is blessed with an abundance of
thermal water, and its well-established
bathing culture is supported by excellent
facilities. Whether youre after relaxation,
refreshment, rejuvenation or recovery,
Hungary cant fail to meet your needs.
Dig a borehole in Hungary and the
chances are youll hit a thermal spring.
These warm waters have a minimum
temperature of 86F/30C, and are
rich in salts and minerals. Of the 1,300
thermal springs recorded, 270 feed bath
complexes and 139 are classified as
medicinal. Thermal baths, sanatoria, lidos
and an impressive range of other health
facilities have grown up and continue
to develop around these waters. There
are few medium-sized towns in Hungary
without their own thermal baths.
All over the country, thermal water bubbles
and rushes beneath the Earths crust, so
its no surprise that searches for black
gold oil instead end time and again in
the discovery of new thermal springs. The
Creator has been good to the Magyars,
and white gold is a treasure used by
increasing numbers of health-conscious
people around the globe.
Emperors, kings, noblemen and famous
heads of state have found health and
relaxation in these traditional spas where
expertise and traditional hospitality have
