(a) Based in your observation, state one characteristic that can be used to classify animals K, L, M and N. K : has wings / feathers / legs / beak
M N
L : has hard shell / legs [4 marks] M :has legs / fur N : has dry scales / tail
(b) Classify animals K, L, M and N into two groups based on common characteristics. Animals K, L, M and N Has wings Without wings Common characteristics Eagle Name of animals Tortoise, rabbit, snake, [4 marks]
The experiment is done according to the steps below : L1 Primary coil consist of 20 turns and secondary coil consist of 40 turns wound around a C shape soft iron core Primary coil is connected to 12 V AC power supply The reading of voltmeter in secondary coil is recorded. Experiment repeated with 60 turns, 80 turns, 100 turns and 120 turn coils. The results are recorded in Table 1

a) P
Number of turns in primary coil / input voltage Numbers of turns in secondary coil Output voltage [3 mark]
c) Based on the experiment, state the inference. The output voltage is depends on number of turns in secondary coil. [1 mark] d) Suggest the relationship between manipulated variable and responding variable. The increase of turns in secondary coil will increase the output voltage. [1 mark] e) Predict what happen if the secondary coil terminal is connected to the power supply (transformer connected is reversed)? It becomes a step down transformer / voltage decrease. [1 mark]
f) Plot a graph to show the relationship between the number of turns in secondary coil and the output voltage.
