Faceting Classes

The Columbia-Willamette Faceters Guild in conjunction with the Rice Northwest Museum offers:

BEGINNING GEMSTONE FACETING


This class introduces the theory and techniques of faceting gemstones. During the course, students will facet one or two gemstones with material and equipment provided by the Columbia-Willamette Faceters Guild. Students will gain sufficient knowledge and techniques to continue faceting on their own. WHERE: Rice Museum Faceting Lab CLASS FEES: $135.00 per person (payable in advance to Rice NW Museum) Total of 20 hours of instruction, consists of 5 classes, from 1pm until 5pm: 5 weeks all Saturdays 3 weeks - 3 Saturdays/2 Sundays You can cut, polish, and keep your own gemstone. All equipment and materials are provided.

We are accepting wait-listings for classes at this time. Individuals will be called in the order they are received. Please see Linda Kepford (Museum Director) of the Rice Museum for preregistration or to be added to the wait list for classes.
