    Basketball vs. Tennis ball; which rolls the fastest? hypotheses: basketball will roll the fastest because it is heavier and bigger and will have more momentum. Tennis ball is smaller and would lose more energy as it has to roll more. Basketball went at a constant speed whereas the tennis ball accelerated then decelerated at about half the speed of the basketball.

    Title: Basketball vs. Tennis ball; which rolls the fastest?

    Aim: To find out which ball rolls the fastest Hypothesis: We think the basketball will roll the fastest because it is heavier & bigger and will have more momentum. The tennis ball is smaller & it would lose more energy as it has to roll more.

    Conclusion: Our hypothesis was incorrect as the basketball was slower. The basketball went at a constant speed whereas the tennis ball accelerated then decelerated at about half way.
