Meet Jesus Gonzlez

Wednesday, August 24, 2011 6:00 8:00 pm At the home of Helen Rosenthal 225 West 83rd Street (between Amsterdam Avenue & Broadway), Manhattan
Jesus Gonzlez is a community organizer who has worked with his fellow members of Make the Road New York to stop the city from closing Bushwick Community High School, to stop the city and state from ending Metro Cards for students, and to free 32 young people who were wrongfully arrested while walking to a friends wake. In addition to these victories, Jesus and his colleagues mobilize for stronger rent protection laws and organize against greedy landlords. Jesus is running for an open State Assembly seat in the 54th Assembly District in Brooklyn (Bushwick, Brownsville, East New York). Jesus is the true progressive in this race. Tenants PAC is proud to support him and plans to help him win in the Tuesday, September 13 special election. We need your help. Please help us raise funds to support Jesus! Because we want as many tenant leaders and organizers as possible to meet Jesus Gonzlez and hear what he has to say, we are keeping this event affordable, with a minimum contribution of $30. Please contribute more if you can afford it. Donations are not tax deductible. You can send your contribution to Tenants PAC, 277 Broadway, Suite 608, New York NY 10007. Make your check payable to Tenants PAC. Or donate on line at www.tenantspac.org. RSVPs requested but not necessary! Email action@tenantspac.org or call (212) 577-7001.
