    ABSTRACT
    The project solid state remote control switch is an interesting project which works in the IR frequency. It uses a simple circuit comprising of a transmitter and receiver. It has the range of 7 meters. It works when transmitter is pointed towards receiver .Here we are designing the switch which can be applied to a single application but it can be applied to multiple applications by implementing a multi band transmitter .Here the switch designed is used to on (or) off the appliances such as light, fan etc. It can also be implemented to operate several modes in the same appliance The circuit comprises of components like IC 555timer and 7806, 4017.All the components used here are used for designing the transmitter and receiver Project members 1.
