How to set "leader" tabs:

1. Go to 'Tools' menu, then click on the 'Tabs' menu. The tabs panel will open up.
2. If you need to remove pre-existing or default tabs, click on the 'Clear All' button on bottom right
of the panel (or just the 'Clear' button if you only want to remove one existing tab and leave
others).
3. Decide where you want to put the new tab and what sort you want (e.g. left or right, with a dotted
line or solid line). Type in the point at which you want the tab to start (e.g. 5 cm), click on left or
right or centre under 'Alignment' , depending on which type you want, and then on the 'Leader'
tab section below click on the type of 'leader' tab if required. Then click on the 'Set' button at the
bottom of the panel.
4. To add another tab, repeat the above, making sure you remember to click on the Set button
before you close the panel.
Once the tabs are set on that line, the following lines will all be the same if you use the 'Return' key
until you change the settings.
Note: a) I am sure you already use the 'brush' formatting tool which is a really useful one. That is
the quickest way to repeat the formatting from another line. b) You can always change the
positioning of the tabs once set but pulling them with the cursor on the ruler at the top of the page to
fit in with different text requirements.
I hope this makes sense - try experimenting with the samples below and come back to me if you
need more help.

Examples: Rest your cursor on a line, go to 'Format' menu, then 'Tabs' menu and look at the
settings to understand how the following are set. Also look at the ruler at the top of the
page. Try typing on the lines to put in data to see how they behave.
