driven by a shimmering, organic pulse of sound that provides a trance-like foundation for the elegant wisps of Durand's mesmerizing Parisian vocals to thrive and flourish. "Fascinated" twinkles with a deep space mystique. The vast yet sparsely populated arrangement is a soothing aural opiate. It gently entices the listener to sever restrictive tethers and drift freely within the sounds. In "Suspicious," the music tiptoes around like it is looking for clues in a darkened apartment. The uplifting bounce makes this one of the most inventive tracks on the album. ALL HOURS catches Ivy in the bands natural environment: immersed in the gently curling melodies and ethereal ambience of the perpetually vogue. To celebrate the albums release, the NYC-based trio are playing their first live show in five years at the Gramercy Theatre on Saturday, September 24, 2011 (special guest Tahiti 80). http://thegramercytheatre.com For more information on Ivy, visit: www.thebandivy.com www.facebook.com/thebandivy www.twitter.com/thebandivy Note: Interview to follow! http://www.scribd.com/SongwritersMonthly

Ivy ALL HOURS Nettwerk Records

Ivy is not the name of the girl, its the name of the band. Dominique Durand, Andy Chase and Adam Schlesinger are the members and ALL HOURS is the name of the latest album. Though the release represents a new decor for this group, the classic architecture remains intact. All of Ivy's trademark musical hipness and the alluring chic of Dominique's vocals endure. In essence, the songs on ALL HOURS arise from hypnotic constructs containing elements that are much more keyboard oriented than those found on previous albums. The opening track, "Distant Lights," is Songwriters Monthly - Sept. 11, #140
