    ABSTRACT The proposed research is application of Ant Colony Optimization algorithm in Digital filter design.

    Bilinear Transformation method will be used to design digital low pass, high pass and band pass filters of a particular specifications, after which same set of filters will be designed using the ACO algorithm. The responses of these filters will be examined and it is expected that those designed using the ACO algorithm will have better responses.
