1. CARBOHYDRATES Present in food to give us ENERGY. Example of carbohydrates are STARCH and SUGARS. There are many kind of sugars such as GLUCOSE and SUCROSE.

2. FATS & OIL IMPORTANT source of energy. They give us TWICE as much Energy as carbohydrates. FATS are usually SOLIDS.

3. PROTEIN -Used for growth and repair worn-out tissues.

When a fat is LIQUID, it is called an OIL.
