FIND AND REPLACE TEXT

1.The find command searches a document for

words, phrases, punctuations, and formatting
2.The find command is a fast way to move to specific
text
3.There are various methods to search whole words
or searching by case.

1.Searching whole words

Select the word to search in a document

For example :
To search the word ‘program’ we will enter the
word ‘program’ at “find what” text box

•On the Edit menu, click Find.

2. In the Find what box, enter the text that you

want to search for.

a. Select any other options that you want.
b. For Help on an option, click the question mark and
then click the option.
3. Click Find Next.
4. To cancel a search in progress, press ESC.

REPLACE

It is used to replace the text with our new text and also to
find the text.
Procedure for replacement of text
1.Click on edit
2.Select “Replace” menu item to replace with the
substitute word as shown in the figure

The word ‘program’ is replaced by ‘progamme’
