As a Government worker, I will allow a company to set up a Iactory in my
country. It has both positive side and negative side. First oI all, our country will be
beneIited both Iinancially and socially iI I permit a company to set up a Iactory. Firstly, it
will bring jobs. Secondly, our total revenue will be increased. Thirdly and most
importantly, we will be able to export a product and will get Ioreign currency. On the
other hand, a Iactory causes pollution such as Acid rain. Acid rain increases acidity in
water bodies and aIIects the ecosystem. It also aIIects human health. It causes asthma,
brain damage, kidney problems, and dry coughs etc. it is also harmIul to vegetation. In
addition, it causes destruction oI stones and metal structures. However, Acid rain can be
kept under control by taking some preventive measures. First oI all, Iactory should
provide a well planned Iuel burning process. Because sulphur dioxide and oxides oI
nitrogen are released during Iuel burning. These elements pollute air. So, amount oI
sulphur dioxide and oxides nitrogen need to be reduced beIore releasing by using less
energy and cleaner Iuel. Factory should provide coal that contains less sulphur and
natural gas. It helps to reduce releasing sulphur oxide and oxides oI nitrogen. Moreover,
Iactory should provide other source oI electricity such as nuclear energy, wind energy,
solar energy and hydro electricity. II a company is able to provide these preventive
measures Ior a Iactory then there is less chance to Iace pollution such as Acid rain. In my
opinion, I will allow a company to set up a Iactory iI it takes preventive measures to
reduce acid rain.
