Mini Project : Which First Attitude or Behaviour?

This article is discussed about Attitude and Behavior. It is stated that which should be targeted first Attitude or Behavior? Practically, attitude is the internal dimension, which is addressed by education and let people think to act differently. On the other hand, behavior is the external dimension of human, which determines how people act in a certain way on the outside. A persons behavior depends on how s/he is trained up. Behavior mainly let people act to think differently. It doesnt matter whether we address attitude or behavior first, if it is successful at influencing the target. It is said that, targeting behavior comes first because it is easier to change on a large scale than attitude and to measure objectively and reliably than attitude. The consistency principle which works to influence behavior and attitude includes three techniques, which are Public and Voluntary Commitment Foot-in-the-door; Start Small and Build Low balling; Raise the Stakes Later These three techniques were introduced as targeting behavior. Thus, because of the consistency principle it doesnt matter whether attitude or behavior change first. The issue is whether a technique is available to influence one or the other. The core point is that behavior comes first because its an external dimension, which draws attention to everyone.
