The Sermon on the Mount Assignment For this assignment, high school students will be assisting with an elementary

Bible lesson. Students will be rewriting a portion of the Sermon on the Mount (Matt 5 7). Capture the meaning of the passage so that it is explained in every-day-language. Students will be writing it in their own words and using provided illustrations to create a book. Storybird has a multitude of options available for pictures. Students should write the passage so that elementary students can read it. The storybooks will be used for their upcoming Bible reading lessons.

Specific instructions Read the assigned passage and jot down a few ideas for rewriting it. (This may change after locating different pictures) Go to Storybird.com and sign in under the account that was previously created. Choose Create and let your creativity begin. Use 5-10 pages (not including the cover) for your book. Instead of your name, list the Scripture reference where it indicates by. Grading: Students will be graded based upon accuracy of the passage. Message to Students. This will take time and can be challenging to produce. Pink elephants, furry bears or orange monsters may not be ideal for Bible passages, but they are perfect for little kids to engage in a story.
