A cat and her twin kittensThey lived a happy family.

Motherhood bloomed to a full measure, And life to them was full of pleasure. Far away from the threats My roof sheltered the twins. Far away from a pouncing world My rooms were their heaven. But the pouncing world is a truth, Sweet flesh is soon consumed. Be it a kitten or a woman Glaring eyes always follow. And the canine world tasted her flesh She lay in a pool of blood. The mother cat licked her primrose And sent an empathizing glance unto me. Beyond the surges of the world, Beyond all rushing winds, The solemn notes of motherhood Stirred my sinking heart. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
