Military Assistance Robot (MAR) using DTMF

The basic purpose of our project is to develop and demonstrate an all terrain armed robot which will be capable of performing long-range, high-endurance missions without the need of any military men to be present at the site of warzone. Our robot can navigate on all possible terrains at far reaching sites using a technique called DTMF (Dual Tone Multi Frequency) and will respond to natural language of mobile keypad commands, which makes it, hypothetically easy to understand and use. This helps to have no problem getting our robot to do what he wants after only some basic instructions that will be fed on the microcontroller. Dual-tone multi-frequency signaling (DTMF) is used for telecommunication signaling over analog telephone lines in the voice-frequency band between telephone handsets and other communications devices and the switching center. The version of DTMF that is used in push-button telephones for tone dialing is known as Touch-Tone, was first used by AT&T in commerce as a registered trademark, and is standardized by ITU-T Recommendation. The multiple tones are the reason for calling the system multi-frequency. These tones are then decoded by the switching center to determine which key was pressed. Our robot will be connected to a display wirelessly that will show the footage sent by the IR-Camera fixed at the top of the robot that will work as video transferring platform. A set of artilleries are planned to give it additional capabilities, which will be controlled by the user at the base but later on it may handle itself on its own. The video surveillance will be taken to the next level through a helicopter capable of recording footage in the air whenever no transmission of video will be possible for the robot. Later on for giving its own brain for sustaining we will provide a sound recognition system that will turn it on anywhere. In the end all these will have a sole objective of reducing the loss of army men in the war zone that will hopefully lead to some technological contribution for the betterment of society.
