HUMANRESOURCEPROJECT Purpose:Pfizerissuccessfulatemployingastrongworkforcebecauseoftheir understandingoftheimportanceofmotivation.BasedontheresearchIhavefound, Pfizerfollowsmostlyanintrinsicrewardsystem.WorkersinthePfizerCompany havethesatisfactionofknowingtheyaremakingadifferenceinthehealthand happinessofitscustomersbyresearchingthelatestmedicationandvaccines availablefortheworldsworstdiseases(Nickels,260).Inaddition,someextrinsic motivationtechniquesareusedtomotivatePfizerworkers.Researchersand scientistsworkingforPfizerwillsometimesberewardedwithasalaryincrease, promotion,orrecognitionforoutstandingbehaviororanynewdiscoveries(Nickels, 260).Pfizeremployeesandretireesarealsoeligibletoapplyforgrants,which usuallyarearound$1,000dollars. Process:PfizerhasveryuniqueHRpracticesthatsetthecompanyapartfrom competingcompanies.
