Dangerous Dinner

While eating soup my spoon did slip, The soup it splashed and burned my lip. I cursed and swore and blamed my wife Then yelled that I would take her life! Yes, dear, said she, I know its hot. Im sure the burn must hurt a lot, But dont you think that youre to blame, For every night you do the same?

A Word in Jest?
On New Year's Eve when all was dark The neighbour's dog did bark and bark. Fred vowed that he would kill the mutt, With sharpest blade its throat he'd cut.
