Here the broken-down or old un-usable busses are overhauled with every major component thoroughly inspected and repaired as per the requirements. The components of study were

The Engine: The HA6DTI3N engine (Bharat stage 3) was overhauled by removing its various components such as the cylinder head, crankshaft, pistons, exhaust and intake manifolds, lubrication system, and the cooling system. The Propeller shaft: To overhaul the propeller shaft the workers have to carry out the following steps dismantling the fixed joint end, dismantling the slip joint end, and finally dismantling the center joint bearing. The Front Axle: The front axle beam is a heavy I section alloysteel forging. Dismantling is started by mounting the front axle on the repair stand, removing the split nuts and the castle nuts from th track rod joints, removing the brake rod joints. The Rear Axle: It is of the 60SHO-Dana type, removing the rear axle is done by parking the vehicle on level ground, releasing the

parking brakes, disconnecting the battery terminals, choking the wheels using a wedge.

RANE Power Steering: Dismantling is done by removal of the major components namely the rotary control valve, relief valves, unloading valves, re-circulating valves, and dirt and water seals. Brakes: The busses which were being overhauled were fitted with the better and convenient Dual braking system which again was overhauled by a series of steps starting with Port Identification, checking the compressor, pipes and fittings, air filter, dual brake valve, relay valve and service reservoirs.
