Absurd? (edited version) Derric Saville October 23, 1983 Illuminated by the firelight, your glow is eternal.

With your heart exuding warmth, a smile forms on your lips and you laugh heartily. The absurdity of life is your stark realization. No longer caring about the whys, the hows take precedence. You laugh again and momentarily appear to flutter effortlessly with the flames. All around us it is dark and we are filled with unknowing, but we exist nonetheless. At least I do. My vision begins to fade, as I cry into the darkness. No hands are there to caress my tortured soul. I awake and my body is covered with beads of sweat. I understand...chuckle softly...and pass into the still night air. Life has past, you were just a beginner in this complex world
