ABSTRAK suatu penelitian telah dilakukan untuk mengetahui kualitas ayam Kamaras. penelitian ini telah di lakukan di kebun percobaan jurusan peternakan fakultas pertanian universitas syiah kuala, banda aceh dan laboratorium unggas jurusan peternakan universitas syiah kuala banda aceh. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap pola factorial 2x4 dengan 4 ulangan, terdiri dari 2 faktor yaitu tipe ayam (berat dan sedang), faktor pakan, (a= 0% prosin), (b=5% prosin), (c=7,5 prosin), (d=10% prosin). Parameter yang diamati yaitu berat telur, tebal kerabang telur, tinggi putih telur, warna kuning telur dan Haugh Unit. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian prosin berpengaruh pada berat dan nilai Haugh Unit. Rataan berat telur ayam tipe berat dan tipe sedang berkisar antara 30,5 44,0, dan rataan Haugh Unit telur tipe berat dan tipe sedang memperlihatkan nilai yang relatif sama berkisar antara 61,1-69,08 dan termasuk grade A. sedangkan pada tinggi telur dan warna kuning telur tidak memperlihatkan perbedaan yang nyata (p>0,05).
