Abstract Central Sumatera Basin is one of the largest oil producers in Indonesia, especially in the area of Duri, Langgak and Minas-Riau. In recent years, production of petroleum in the area has decreased. Because many of the wells can no longer active (old well) but still conntaining crude oil as much as 30% to 60 % of its original content (Purnomo, 2008). Its geochemistry molecular studies that can reduce the risk of failure of exploitation. Molecular geochemistry is an important parameter in the study of correlation between the production wells of the Centrasl Sumatera Basin. This study aimed to the determine the genetic relationship between crude oil field production wells from Duri, Langgak and Minas, Star diagram is a method that is use to indicate the presence of genetic similarities and differences of unanalyzed samples. From the analysis, samples Duri oil field was positively correlated with oil samples Langgak Field. Duri Crude oil samples and Langgak negatively correlated with the samples Minas oil field. By knowing the correlation of oil, can help in the act of draining the oil (Enhanced Oil Recovery) in an appropriate manner. Key Words : Petroleum geochemistry, GC, correlation
