LIABILILITY WAIVER

I, _______________________________________, hereby acknowledge the inherent risks involved in riding horses and in working and being around horses, including the risk of serious bodily injury and possible death, among other risks. I understand that both horse and rider can be injured in the course of normal enjoyment of equestrian activities, including during, riding, schooling, competition, regular barn management, grooming and all aspects of regular horse care. I understand that, North Carolina law warns and states that, an equine activity sponsor or equine professional is not liable for an injury to or the death of a participant in equine activities resulting exclusively from the inherent risks of equine activities (Chapter 99E of the North Carolina Statutes.) I state my intention to be with horses &/or ride horses and hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless Folly Farm or the owners, and staff, or independent instructors, and release them from any liability or responsibility for accidents, damage, injury or illness to myself or my horse(s), family members, guests, and or any spectators accompanying me.
