MOTION ANALYSIS
Movement of worker efficiency in the manufacturing dept. The analysis of the movement carried out in performing an operation is known as Motion Analysis

OBJECTIVE
Study the existing method Improve it by reducing the length of movements Eliminating unnecessary motions

PROCEDURE OF MOTION ANALYSIS

Select the operation to be studied. Study the movements performed during the operation and list out the motion carried out by the operator. Segregate productive from non-productive motion. Mark those motions in the list which can be modified or simplified.

Eliminate unnecessary motions and modify others, wherever possible. Standardize the procedure and include it in the work instructions.
