ABOUT THE BOOK

Physics is the mother of Engineering and Technology. Without the

application of concepts of Physics, there can be no technological
development. A few NTs have already started B.Tech. programme in
Engineering Physics. Realizing its importance, Jawaharlal Nehru
Technological University (JNTU), Kakinada has introduced a course on
Engineering Physics for the students of all branches of Engineering and
Technology of JNTU, Kakinada. Concrete physical principles and
analysis in various fields of engineering and technology are given
prominence in this book. This book on Engineering Physics - II is based
on Second semester syllabus of JNTU, Kakinada (effective from 2010 2011).
Salient features
Written aiming 100% coverage of syllabus of Engineering Physics - II of JNTU, Kakinada
(2010-2011 )
Summary is given at the end of each chapter.
Objective type questions are given to enable the students to prepare for the viva-voce
examinations.
Typical questions appeared in the earlier examinations of JNTU are included at the end of
each chapter.
Solved and exercise problems are given to develop the skill in analytical thought and
numerical calculations.
This book is well written to fulfill the aim and objective of the course. It is hoped that this
book will be found more useful by both students and staff of engineering colleges of JNTU
Kakinada.
