ABSTRACT The purpose of research is to prove that computer can be used as a tester of IC TTL (Transistor-transistor Logic) using AVR ATMega 8535 microcontroller. The research was conducted in control and instrumentation laboratory. Electrical Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering.State University of Jakarta in June 2009 until July 2010. The research using laboratory experiment method. Tester of IC TTL consist of three parts: input, process and output. Input came from a computer in the form of TTL IC choice that will be tested and that is sent via a serial port cable. The prinsip of the tool is when the user select IC TTL that will be tested, then computer will be instruct AVR ATMega 8535 microcontroller to execute tests in accordance with the serial numberIC TTL and tested in accordance with the truth table of each IC TTL.

Kata Kunci : Mikrokontroler AVR ATMega 8535, Rangkaian RS 232, Metode blackbox.
