Training Program on MSA Plus Software Inaugurates

Dhaka Stock Exchange Ltd. is going to launch a new web-based trading software named MSA Plus. This is the upgraded version of the old software TESA. Before launching the software, training program for the authorized representatives of the broker houses was inaugurated on May 30, 2011 at Bangladesh Institute of Capital Market located at BGIC tower. The inaugural ceremony was chaired by DSE President Mr. Md. Shakil Rizvi. Securities & Exchange Commission Chairman Prof. Dr. M. Khairul Hossain inaugurated the training program as chief guest. Prof. Md. Helal Uddin Nizami, Member, SEC was present as special guest along with the newly appointed two other members of SEC Mr. Md. Amzad Hossain and Mr. Md. Arif Khan. DSE Senior Vice President Mr. Ahasanul Islam in his speech said that through MSA Plus investors will get the latest information about their equity or shares. There will not have any chance of buying or selling additional shares. Mr. Islam further informed that this software would establish more transparency in the market and one will be able to access to transaction information from any corner of the world. The special feature of this software is that buy order & sell order can be placed through internet. DSE President Mr. Md. Shakil Rizvi said in his speech that through the launch of this software investors would become regulator of own investment. Mr. Rizvi expressed hope that by July, 2011 DSE would be able to launch this software. The chief guest Prof. Dr. Khairul Hossain in his address hailed DSE for introducing MSA Plus and hoped this software would create more transparency and accountability. Mr. Md. Mizanur Rahman Khan, Chief Executive Officer Mr. Satipati Moitra and BICM Executive Chairman Mr. Abdul Hannan Zoarder were present in the inaugural ceremony. Senior officials of ICT and other departments and the participants & the trainers were present there. The ceremony was conducted by Chief Operating Officer (Admin & Dev).
