Covers You can either print these out onto card, or cut a piece of A4 card into 8 equal pieces, which will end up being about 7.5cm x 10.5cm.

How to make your Aztec Codex:

1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. Cut out the four pages in white paper. Cut out the two covers in coloured card. Overlap and glue together the four pages into one long strip and allow the glue to dry. Cut the overlap and glue tabs off each end. Fold the strip of paper on each dotted line and on the centre of each glued join to make a concertina or zig-zag. Stick the covers onto the back and the front of the concertina. Your Aztec Codex is finished! Now you can fill it. The Aztec Codex painters were called Tlacuilos, and they only used red, yellow, green and blue in their Codices.
