Republic of the Philippines Department of Education Division of South Cotabato Surallah North District LUBOL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

A Narrative Report on the Conduct of Opening Program for the School Year 2012-2013

It was 4th of June, 2012 when every public teacher here in the country was presumably busy as that day marked the opening of classes of all schools under the public education system of the Philippines. The Lubol Elementary School was nevertheless no exemption to that as it joined the whole country in simultaneously opening the classes for the above mentioned school year. The classrooms were ideally furnished, teachers had already accomplished the necessary tasks and things including visual materials and lesson plans, and a pre-planned program was held to welcome those who were enrolled in kindergarten, transferees, and those who were coming back to continue to pursue their elementary education. The day started off with a flag ceremony at exactly 7:15 in the morning followed by a program with Mrs. Liezel F. Tornea, the appointed Guidance Councilor of the school, who led the teachers in welcoming new and returning pupils. Each new pupil was acknowledged to be in staged and given a simple welcome token in a form of ribbon. One can see the smiles pasted in the faces of both teachers and pupils showing the excitement felt brought in the light of the opening of classes. Mr. Jeremiah Herbilla, the schools Parent-Teachers Associations president was also there to give everybody a warm welcome and once promised the school not only his support but as well as the communitys. Nevertheless, the schools Teacher In-Charge, Mr. Marvin R. Villahermosa challenged everyone to work better, together towards the progress of the school. He also emphasized the importance of education, its relevance or relation in ones life, ones career to be specific. It was indeed one exciting and inspiring day for everyone who had been working and studying at Lubol Elementary School. Prepared by:
