OTHER SERVICE INFORMATION

HE OS

You use an Other Service Information (OSI) element to advise an airline of specific passenger information. When you enter an OSI element, the system automatically generates a message to the airlines concerned at end transaction. A PNR can contain up to 127 OSI elements, each with a maximum of 68 characters. OSI elements are primarily used to advise airline personnel of special information to assist in passenger handling. To create an OSI element in the PNR, enter:

OSCX VIP BMW CORP/P1

OS CX

Other service information transaction code Airline code of the airline to be advised When you want to advise more than one airline in a PNR, use the generic airline code YY.

SPECIAL SERVICE REQUESTS

HE SR

You use a Special Service Request (SSR) to solicit services for a passenger from the airline such as special meals, wheelchairs, etc. A PNR may contain up to 127 SSR elements, each with a maximum of 127 characters. All SSR entries consist of the SR transaction code and a 4-letter AIRIMP code defining the requests. Additional free-flow text following the code may either be mandatory, optional, or not permitted. The service and meal codes can be found in the following pages in the system.

HE SR.316 HE MEAL GGCODE B

EXTEND SECURITY

HE ES

This function allows you to set up special security rules so that one, or several offices can access a PNR. The PNR security functions may allow access to a PNR even when there are no other special agreements in place, and can override agreements that are contained in the current security tables. PNR security allows you to share PNR viewing and/or updating capabilities, without changing PNR ownership.

Creating a PNR Security Element The PNR security element is un-numbered, and can only be created and modified by the responsible office. You can enter up to five security agreements per entry, each containing office identification and the access mode to be applied. To extend security to an office giving read and write access:

ESMNL1A0901-B

ES MNL1A0901 -B
