Rice University First Weeks Prayer Calendar 2012 Listed here are some daily ways that you

can be praying
for students & BSM during the first two weeks of school, the most vital weeks of campus ministry. August 12: Parents dropping off Freshmen moving in at the same time. Lots of the Shocking Realities of Rice really set in for the first time, and relationships are formed. Pray for Gods presence among Believers & that they will be salt & light to those without Jesus. August 13: Pray for students as they are alone and realizing the stress of academics. Pray that they would find friends to point them to Jesus. August 14: Activities Carnival this evening. Pray that we would make good first contact with students and that wed be able to pour into their lives. August 15: We will be hosting 20 students from one of the dorms (colleges) in our home tonight. Pray for soft hearts and that they would experience the love of Jesus through our family & home. August 16: Pray for the International Undergraduates that they would be free of homesickness and find Christian friends who will show them compassion & love like Jesus August 17: New students will be registering for class today. Pray for wisdom as God leads them and that they would form relationships for the sake of the Kingdom through their classes. August 18: Tonight is traditionally called Dis-Orientation where students party pretty hard. We will be working with an alternative event to make connections with students to hopefully guide them in their relationship to Christ. August 19: First Bible Study with Freshmen tonight. Pray that well make good connections that will last for 4 years and that well help them shape their life! August 20: Today is the first day of class. Pray for solid, new relationships that might build bridges for the Gospel. August 21: Pray for Martin Uwah, campus missionary, and Danna Stensgaard, Rice Alum & volunteer ministry assoc.

August 23: Pray for our small groups on campus that there will be real relationships and disciples will be made to know Jesus and share Him! August 24: Pray for the student leaders that they will be closer to Christ and make him known to our campus! August 25: Were doing a Service Project in Houston today.
