CASE PRESENTATION

INTRODUCTION
The kidneys are a pair of bean-shaped organs that lie on either side of the spine in the lower middle of the back. Each kidney weighs about pound and contains approximately one million. The main function of the kidneys is to remove waste products and excess water from the blood. The kidneys process about 200 liters of blood every day and produce about two liters of urine. The waste products are generated from normal metabolic processes including the breakdown of active tissues, ingested foods, and other substances. The kidneys allow consumption of a variety of foods, drugs, vitamins and supplements, additives, and excess fluids without worry that toxic by-products will build up to harmful levels.

Chronic kidney disease occurs when one suffers from gradual and usually permanent loss of kidney function over time. Chronic kidney disease(CKD), also known as renal disease, is a progressive loss in renal function a period of months or years. The symptoms of worsening kidney function are unspecific, and might include feeling generally unwelland experiencing areduced appetite. Often, chronic kidney disease is diagnosed as a result of screening people known to be at risk of kidney problems, such as those with high blood pressure diabetes those with a blood relative with chronic kidney disease. Chronic kidney disease may also be identified when it leads to one of its recognized complications, such as cardiovascular disease, anemia, pericarditis.

The most common causes of CKD are diabetes mellitus, hypertension and glumerulonephritis. Together, these cause approximately 75% of all adult cases. Certain geographic areas have a high incidence of nephropathy. In the Philippines, chronic kidney disease is the number 10 leading cause of mortality and morbidity. Annually, there are 22, 298 who died 2 who get illed because of CKD. and 86, 241, 697

Miraculous Medal Unit is a ward most common with cardiac disease, pneumonia, cough, fever, skin rashes, and sometimes renal and kidney disease. We chose this case because aside from it's a rare case, this case visibly proves how one part of our body affects the whole system in our physical being. The case of the patient is complicated and somehow challenging to study onto. The CKD does not only target the kidneys itself, it also causes diabetes, anemia, nephropathy and other disease. It is how vital and important our organs are. This case also serves a reminder how we should protect and value our organs, we as individuals should take precautions in whatever material we ingest and digest. This case presentation will present to you that our bodies are our lives.
