Theatre Appreciation Fall 2011, Spring 2012 Spring 2013 Lecture style course introducing students to fundamental theatrical components including acting, directing, design, theatrical literature and theatre history. Class enrollment 200. Teaching Assistant 2010-2011 Applied Voice and Movement 1 THEA 2101 Fall 2011 Aid in the development of actors use of body and voice as it applies to realistic acting. Provide practical demonstrations of course techniques. Acting Shakespeare THEA 2302 Spring 2011 Aided instructor in operative words exercises, scansion, and poetical devices through practical demonstration. Administered tests to students. Theatre Appreciation THEA 1206 Fall 2010, Spring 2011 Monitored students and aided in class discussion in two sections of theatre appreciation per semester. Graded students tests and quizzes. Lead lecturer for acting unit in two sections in Spring 2011. THEA 1206

KD Studio Actors Conservatory Dallas, TX Teacher 2007-2008 Introduction to Acting Instructed adult students in fundamental elements of acting and character development through the usage of improvisation, scene work, and monologues. Introduction to Acting (Teens) Instructed studentsages 12-16in the fundamentals of acting and character development. Explored the nature of theatre and acting through storytelling games and improvisation and guided students to a better understanding of acting techniques through scene work and monologues. North Mesquite High School Mesquite, TX Teacher 2005-2008 Theatre Arts 1 Introduce students to the fundamentals of theatre. Class includes units on acting, design, improvisation and theatre history. Students are encouraged to create classroom working relationships through activities such as scene work and group projects. Theatre Arts 2 Theatre Arts 2 is a continuation of Theatre Arts 1 with a greater in-depth concentration in the elements of acting. Students are challenged with more intensive scene work as well as new training in areas such as directing and Shakespeare.

TRAINING
Directing Assistantship Berkshire Theatre Festival 2012 Served as assistant director for the BTF production of Herb Gardner's A Thousand Clowns, directed by Kyle Fabel. Directed the staged reading of Christopher Newbound's new play, Lunch With Amanda, presented at the Main Stage theatre as part of the Berkshire Theatre Festival Friday Series. Master Class with Michael Sexton Berkshire Theatre Festival 2012 Michael Sexton, artistic director of the Shakespeare Society in New York City discusses the business of being a director with future director's working as assistants at the Berkshire Theatre Festival. Mr. Sexton discusses his own journey as director and then follows up with a question and answer session with members of the class. Stage Combat Workshop at Louisiana Tech University Louisiana Tech Two day intensive workshop. Ten, eighty-minute classes helping students develop skills in the variety of areas of stage combat. Classes taught by certified members of the SAFD from all across the county.

Master Class with John Patrick Shanley Baylor University 2011 Playwright John Patrick Shanley discusses his approach to playwriting, including influences from his own life, and steps taken to be a successful playwright. Texas Intensive Stage Combat Workshop University of Houston 2011 Two day intensive workshop helping develop a basic skill set of common stage weapons used in the theatre. Class instructors include S.A.F.D. FM/FD/CTs Brian Byrnes and k. Jenny Jones, S.A.F.D. FD/CTs Jack Young and Timothy Pinnow, CTs Leraldo Anzaldua, Bill Lengfelder, H. Russ Brown, Matt Ellis and Mark Guinn, AAC Intern Jake Guinn. Meyerholds Biomechanics Texas A&M 2011 One day workshop in which students develop a basic understanding of Meyerholds Biomechanics. Practical application of skill set is emphasized. Workshop instructed by Kathleen Baum.

Theatre Scholarship Abilene Christian University $3000 paid out over six semesters. Contingent on 10 hours of work, per week, in the ACU scene shop. Student to maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5.
